Much to my astonishment and delight, the Daily Mail loves SILK. Sara Lawrence says

"James has pulled out all the stops with this fast-paced, fashion-mad novel. I couldn’t put it down and didn’t want it to end … A big, sexy, hunk of a book that will keep you entertained for hours."

I can't wait to get my arse up on that particular bench, and in such good company too.

"Taking on the gossipy tone of the very best Jilly Cooper novels and giving it a modern twist, this is a 21st century bonkbuster with attitude. Victoria Crabtree, the mistress of the head of an international couture house, and Christine Fairbrother, a high profile celebrity divorce lawyer, find their paths cross as their personal and professional desires clash dramatically. They’re both as glamorous as they are ruthless, so which one will triumph? If you secretly wish Dynasty had never ended and enjoy reading Lace whenever you take a sick day, this is the book for you. Pass the cocktail shaker…"
