Patricia Scanlan

Patricia Scanlan was born in Dublin, where she still lives. Her books have sold world wide and been translated into many languages. She has always been interested in publishing and worked part time as an editorial consultant for an international publishing house.

She has mentored several successful No 1 authors, the youngest being Ruth Gilligan who went straight to the Irish No 1 spot with her runaway success debut novel, FORGET.   

She is Series Editor of The Open Door  books a prestigious literacy project she developed with New Island, which has become a critical and commercial success internationally. She has written four books for the series and is involved in Adult Literacy.

She has also worked on various projects with some non-fiction authors, including Aidan Storey, whose inspiring and moving autobiography, Angels of Divine Light was published by Transworld Ireland in October 2009, alongside her Christmas novel, Coming Home. Patricia Scanlan's latest novel is Happy Ever After, published in March 2010.
