Just spent four days signing copies of my new book On the Slow Train Again at Victoria Station in London. Worth noting that many buyers asked for dedications for upcoming Father's Day on June 19. Could it be that recent antics of Britain's most famous petrolheads have put people off? Though James May gets honourable mention in my book for devotion to his trainset, and Jeremy Clarkson is celebrated for driving Britain's newest steam loco, Tornado, to Scotland in my reissued paperback On the Slow Train...
