Life Inspiration from Books and Literature
Sometimes in life, humankind can easily lose hope and lack focus. Life is an unfair as most people claim. However, I believe that life is unfair to everyone. Nobody is spared by the cruelty of life. We all face challenges. Nobody should try to believe that they were born special than you. Or that they do not undergo challenging times in life.
There are challenges and obstacles in all walks of the earth and in every days activities that we take part in. What usually sets one part is the how one can handle the various challenges; which comes in one’s way. Along with the techniques that one use to overcome the obstacles; which we face in our daily lives. Of course some aspects of life. Such as education and experience; that usually plays important roles in shaping our approaches in solving the difficulties that we face in life. That is why we need to embrace such values.
Another important aspect of life which also helps us to overcome our difficulties is the support that we get when we are faced with challenging situations. Moral and emotional support helps one to overcome the loses or obstacles that one faces. It also helps one to quickly get back one one’s feet and recover from the traumatizing moments; which can easily drag a person down. If a person undergoing challenges faces rejection or has no shoulder to lean on, such a person can easily lose hope and focus; which is quiet detrimental in making one fail to accomplish his/her ambitions.
How Positivity can Inspire us In Our Lives
The situations that we undergo presently and the way we handle them usually shapes what we will become tomorrow. Back in the early 2000s I was living in total rejection. This rejection was kind of self-imposed. I had lost hope in life and I even contemplated committing suicide.
Earlier in the 90s, when I was still a small kid, I lost my parent in a tragic road accident. I was quiet traumatized by the situation. However, I was able to get through it with the help of my uncle who took me in. He understood the pain that I was going through and he helped me recover; through therapy and the love and support that he showed me. My woes seemed to have vanished, but not for long. When I was a junior in high school, I lost him too.
This loss shattered me. It broke me down and it was hard coming to term with what had happened. I didn’t know what my life was to become. This was because he was the only family that I had known since my parent passed away. Nonetheless, I didn’t know how I would take care of myself. Or how I could raise money to take care of the expenses and bills. I was too young and the loss made me myopic. I couldn’t think clearly.
Although he had made sure that he striven to get me an education insurance cover. I still couldn’t concentrate well in my studies after his death. Barely weeks later, I came home one day to find a foreclosure sign. I didn’t know where I was going to live and the kind of life destined for me. Life seemed to be against me. I felt so low and disappointed; such that I became suicidal.
Living a Purposeful Life
A lovely neighbor who knew my entire life story was so sorry for me; and she comforted me. She wanted to take me in to live with her kids who were my lovely friends too; before we could sought things out. However I couldn’t take it. I was so low. That weekend on Sunday, I had a knock on the door and I was surprised to see her. She had brought me some breakfast. I thanked her. But before she could live she asked me if I would love to join her family for the church service. I wasn’t much of a church guy. But I felt quiet creepy being home alone. I then decided to join her.
This was the moment which changed my life. My life took a different shape after a church service. She purchased for me an inspiration book; which was being sold at the church’s book store. It was ‘Understanding Your Potential’ written my Myles Munroe. The book was not only spiritual and inspirational. But it helped me to rediscover my true self. It helped me to accept my woes; and also helped me to forge ahead.
I realized that I was special, and that I all that it takes for any person to make it in life. It enabled me to forge a framework; which could help me to live a purposeful life. I also took time to read some of his other works and to date they have always inspired me; even when things are not going according to my expectations.
