Waitrose Book of the Week

03 February 2011

I was so delighted to hear the news that The Day the Falls Stood Still has been selected as a Waitrose Book of the Week for the week of February 14th.  While the book pulls readers into the maelstrom of Niagara Falls at the time when rivermen drew daredevils from the brink and the promise of hydroelectric power wooed a nation, it is a love story at its core.  And it seems fitting the book begins its Waitrose Book of the Week reign on Valentine's Day.  For a gal all the way across the sea, it's nice to know that with the prime placement the book will receive in Waitorse stores, it will find its way into more UK readers hands and, hopefully, hearts.
